“ Food is exactly what you would expect from a Chinese spot like this. Solid! Unfortunately, they are no longer DoorDash, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to order from them anymore... Hope they can correct that obvious misstep. ”
“ I was craaaving Chinese food but I lost my favorite go to spot since they closed down and I have been in search. This place seems pretty great. The food is good and had wontons and Thai tea. If you want to try something different I like getting half regular and half green Thai tea mixed together. Slightly floral and creamy. The lady who helped pick my food was very nice and I hope to come back to try their honey shrimp. I didn't see it and I do hear it runs out quick. There's a couple tables to eat in and they offer teriyaki + sriracha sauce. ”
“ Service was fast and kind! Just moved to neighborhood and glad we found a good Chinese food place nearby. Smoothies were so good they didn't even make the short walk home. Food was good, and good portions. Coming back again! ”
“ The restaurant looked clean! We walked in and noticed the chow mein looked almost empty. Instead of just pouring the new chow mein on top, the worker took out the whole serving tray and replaced it with the new one filled with fresh food. Not many places would do the extra work of entirely replacing the tray instead of mixing fresh food with the older noodles.e Everything tasted fresh! They jalapeño chicken was bomb and spicy. Super good little Chinese food spot. ”
“ this is my go to Chinese Food spot in Long Beach. Their Pork Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, honey walnut shrimp, spicy crispy chicken and pork skewers are Delicious. Staff is amazing! ”
“ In downtown Long Beach hanging out with some friends from high school. Anyway, after several cold beverages my wife and I checked into our hotel and walked to Wa Wa. It's cafeteria style but everything looked freshly prepared and was delicious. I had orange chicken and spicy chicken with noodles and rice. My wife had teriyaki chicken and beef & broccoli with vegetables. Big portions and very tasty. If you're in the Downtown LB area craving Chinese food, give Wa Wa a try. You won't be sorry. PS: no beer or wine and it's more of a take-out place. ”
“ In a city where the options are Chen's or Panda Express, Wa Wa is a safe-haven. A little tip if you're not a local or just wandered in, call ahead and order/ask for something. They prepare things fresh for you, and don't keep much out under heat lamps. Their pancit bihon is decent. Their chow mein is delicious. Their bbq chicken is my SO's go-to now (he moved from orange chicken to it). The cost of things and the portions are insane vs what you'd pay at Panda. I'm a major fan, and will continue to return. ”
“ Cheap, fast Chinese restaurant following the Mall/Panda Express model where the food are on steam server warmers for speed. One can order one ($8.75) , two ($9.75), or three item ($11.75) meal with noodles or fried rice. When I went, there was a choice of vegi fried rice and two different types of noodles: typical low mein and mei fun (rice noodles). For the meats, there were many dishes, but no seafood. We tried all three types of base: fried rice and lo mein were OK, the mei fun was quite good. The orange chicken was very good (must have gotten lucky that it was fresh when served and can say that most of the pieces were chicken and not batter). The broccoli beef was OK, ended up getting mostly broccoli. Also got the curry chicken, which had whole expertly choppep up, bone-in chicken with just a touch of yellow curry...it was delicious. Finally, we also got the stir fried green beans with pork, and it was excellent...with the beans nicely stur-fried to produce the wrinkled skin that I really like. All of it was quite good, especially for the price, and they are generous with the portions. One can also order a la carte, in which they have shrimp dishes. They also offer different types of soup, and have egg rolls. I ended up also getting a package of Amay's fortune cookies for $1.75 and it was fresh (which sometimes I've found to be a problem at other Chinese restaurants). We've been having some taste and/or availability problems with our usual haunts in the area, so will definitely be back to try their other dishes. ”
